Nevermore Trilogy

The Nevermore Trilogy
Books 1-3
Anniversary Edition
Shannon Mayer
4 Bookgasums
I had some issues with this trilogy due to not being a fan of post apocalyptic stories and due to the fact that my husband has end-stage kidney failure.  I have read most of Ms. Mayer’s other works and I am a huge fan of her writing.  Ms. Mayer’s does not let you down when it comes to her character development, her storyline and her amazing ability to draw you into the story and have you biting your nails as you turn the pages.
There are twists and turns that will have you on an emotional roller coaster throughout this trilogy so have your teddy bear, some chocolate and some Kleenex at the ready.
Technical/Formatting:  I read the book in the Mobi/Kindle version and found no issues with the formatting.
Story Line:  In a world torn apart by a supposed medical wonder drug can two people find love?  Is there a cure to be had and if so will it really work?
Character Development: Sebastian and Mara were well fleshed out characters that you couldn’t help but feel for and cheer on.
Grammar and Other Nit Picking: I found only a few spelling error and they were not so bad as to stop the story flow.
While not a big fan of this trilogy, I will say that Ms. Mayer’s lives up to her great story telling and I look forward to reading more from this fabulous author.

Magically Delicious

Magically Delicious
Book 4
Magic & Mayhem Series
Robyn Peterman
4 Bookgasums
Lucky Charms are not the only thing that is Magically Delicious
Eccentricities abound in Assjacket, WV and I wouldn’t want it any other way.  Ms. Peterman brings us another ‘bang your head’ hilariously funny story in this latest addition to the Magic and Mayhem series.  With lines like, “HoHos were deliciously destructive”, you know you are in for a non-stop redonkious read.
Technical/Formatting:  I read the book in the Mobi/Kindle version and found no issues with the formatting.
Story Line:  While some of the story line was a little out there that is what makes Ms. Peterman’s books so great so I am only deducting one Bookgasum for this.
Character Development: Zelda and all of the other characters are well developed and feel as if they are real. You can really come to love or hate the characters which to me is a true sign of how well written the characters are.
Grammar and Other Nit Picking: I found only a few spelling error and they were not so bad as to stop the story flow.
I cannot wait the next book in this series and in Ms. Peterman’s other series.
