Honey & Hisses

Honey and Hisses
Book 3 of the Venom Trilogy
Shannon Mayer
5 Bookgasums
Technical/Formatting:  I read the book in the Mobi/Kindle version and found no issues with the formatting.
Story Line: The story starts where book two left off and lead readers easily back into the world of Venom.  Ms. Mayer finishes the story off in a way that most of a reader’s questions are answered and the reader is not left hanging and wondering.
Character Development: Zelda and all of the other characters are well developed and feel as if they are real. You can really come to love or hate the characters which to me is a true sign of how well written the characters are.
Grammar and Other Nit Picking: If there were any errors I was too engrossed in the book to notice them.  Here comes my nit picking.  It felt to me as if Ms. Mayer was almost too tidy in the ending of this story.  As if she knew she was leaving too many unanswered questions.  I like that she did not leave us hanging and wondering but to me its too perfectly wrapped up and some of it is just too unrealistic. I would still like to see this trilogy turned into a full series and see how the world reacts too all of the things that came out during the trilogy.

Were Me Out

Were Me Out
Book 4 of the Shift Happens Series
Robyn Peterman
4 Bookgasums
Technical/Formatting:  I read the book in the Mobi/Kindle version and found no issues with the formatting.
Story Line:   It’s finally time for the Alpha (Junior) to get his chance at love. This is a fun-filled read with a lot of humor, romance, mystery and action.  I guess you could say it’s the whole ball of wolf hair.
Did Sandy pick the wrong day to grow up?  You will have to read the book to find out.
Character Development: The characters were very well fleshed out.  I can imagine all of them walking down the streets of Hung.  I would even like to hang out with Granny and Dwayne. You quickly become entrenched in their lives and are rooting them on.
Grammar and Other Nit Picking: I found only a few spelling error and they were not so bad as to stop the story flow.

Fangs and Fennel

Fangs and Fennel

“Kitty puke on cookie sheets”
Technical/Formatting:  I read the book in the Mobi/Kindle version and found no issues with the formatting.
Story Line:  Alena’s story continues and she is up against a new ‘hero’, Theseus.  She is also battling the prejudges of the humans and the court.  Will she prevail?  Will Zeus or any other gods help her or hinder her?
“Kitty puke on cookie sheets”  I just loved this line and find Alena’s use of cuss words similar to mine.
Character Development: Zelda and all of the other characters are well developed and feel as if they are real. You can really come to love or hate the characters which to me is a true sign of how well written the characters are.
Grammar and Other Nit Picking: I don’t think I found any spelling error. The book and the series are one of my all time favorites.

Pamela

Pamela
The Rylee Adamson Epilogues Book 3
Shannon Mayer
4.5 Bookgasums
Technical/Formatting:  I read the book in the Mobi/Kindle version and found no issues with the formatting.
Story Line:  The story grabs you right from the start and never lets you down.  Not sure what it was but something Raven said or did had me wondering about his connection to Pamela right from the beginning so I couldn’t put the book down.  I had to see if I was right or not.  I love the Tracker series so having these side stories/books helps keep the story alive.
Character Development: Pamela, Raven, and all of the other characters are well developed and feel as if they are real. You can really come to love or hate the characters which to me is a true sign of how well written the characters are.
Grammar and Other Nit Picking: I don’t remember any spelling error or they were not so bad as to stop the story flow.  I was too engrossed in the story and wondering about the Pam and Raven connection that I didn’t notice anything which to me is a sign of an excellent book.
